Oman is located to the east of Yemen, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates on the coast of the Arabian sea. Population is 2.5 million and the capital is Muscat. About 27% of the population and 65% of the work force are foreign. 21% of the population is South Asian which is the most after Arab (67%).
Since 1749 the Albusaidi family has ruled and the current Sultan does not wish for a rise of fanatical extremist Islam, though Islam is the primary religion (92%). Christians are free to worship but they are strictly forbidden to tell Muslims about Jesus.
The official language is Arabic, with 13 total languages. Of these only two have the complete Scriptures, 3 have portions and there are 8 with no portion of the Bible.
Average income is $6050 per person annually. The country is a latecomer in Oil production and oil revenues finance agricultural and industrial work.
