Congo

Eastern Congo has been ravaged by civil war, the AIDS crisis, and foreign domination.  Answering The Call's partnership with a network of churches along the eastern border has been extremely effective.  In the 7 years this partnership has existed, we have seen the construction of a primary school to serve some 600 children orphaned from AIDS and war, 8 new church plants, short- term relief projects, the short-term training of approximately 900 pastors and/or congregational leaders, and the establishment of 2 feeding centers for malnourished children.  There have also been numerous evangelistic outreaches that have been very fruitful.  The Julie Project, a shelter for victims of rape, is our most recent project in Congo.
