A central facet of Answering the Call is to reach people in difficult to reach places. This would consist of nations where the proclamation of Christ is illegal and where the church exists under great difficulty. There is a critical need to train those who have been called by God to pastoral ministry in these countries. Many of these believers must endure great hardship and have little, if any, access to training and encouragement. Answering The Call networks in three regions to identify and train these leaders in our emerging Pastoral Training Center. These regions include: The Burma Tibetan Region – In this region there is a small level of on-site training. There are many converted Muslims, some of whom are launching new congregations. These contacts allow us to network further in this region, creating future participants for the Pastoral Training Center. These participants will receive training in areas of basic Biblical studies, theology and church planting strategy. Central Asia – Our relationship in this region began in 2002 with a congregation that was planted. The networking that is on-going allows us access into the Middle East, where the need is obviously very great. Our goal here is the same: the identification of leaders and Christian workers who will be trained off-site in the Pastoral Training Center. Northern Africa – This region is obviously very different from the others in many respects, but the oppression of largely Muslim governments is very real. Partnerships that Answering The Call has in other parts of Africa allow us to network in this strategic area as well. In this area some on-site evangelism efforts are possible. Our primary activity here is to network and conduct off-site training for leaders who would not otherwise have that opportunity in their own country. In the last 4 years, 20 pastors and their families have been trained and sent out to share the Gospel.
