The 10/40 Window
The 10/40 Window is the region of the world geographically located 10 degrees North to 40
degrees North of the equator. Known as the "Resistant Belt" , it is where:

Most of the countries that are located in this region are what missionaries refer to as "closed
countries" This means that Christian activity is illegal and often unsafe in these countries.
This is largely due to the predominance of the Muslim faith or Communist governments.
These situations demand of the Church new strategies and new paradigms of ministry. This
is the impetus for our Pastoral Training Center.
